As salaamu aleikoum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I have collected a few hundred Pashto nasheed albums. Of which the best examples are presented on my web blog. You can listen to them online, or you can download any nasheed that you like.

Currently, the blog is not update. And the previous template went bad somehow. So I will be working on my blog soon to make it look better and I will add a few new albums.

Enjoy, and share!

Awesome stuff, the blog just needs a new template, some colours to brighten it up. Other than that, the nasheeds are excellent! Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Do you have the nasheed " Karzai da pa kabul ke hukumat chalaway nashe?"

Do you mind if I ask what may be obvious to everyone else:

Who is Faqir Mohammad Darwesh?

The design of the template is great.
The red is scary though.
How about green!?
What is the exact definition of Nasheed? I know in general, but I want to make sure i understand.

Nasheed means an anthem.

And Faqir Mohammad Darwesh is the Bob Dylan of Taliban.

The one in the video sounds very familiar. I guess I was listening to some like this earlier this year off of Youtube without knowing exactly what they were.

They are so powerfully evocative that I was thinking to post some in reply to all the mean scoffers about Islam on a previous discussion group. There was so much hositility toward Islam and toward me for defending Afghans that I was hoping to awaken a little respect by the beauty of this style.

But I decided that it probably takes a certain capacity in the soul to appreciate this, which few people of Western mentality have. So my attempts at spiritual education would have resulted only in howls of outrage. Rather than eliciting the awe or respect for the people and their faith that I would have expected as a result of hearing these hauntingly beautiful nasheeds.

Is there any biographical information about Faqir Mohammad Darwesh? How long has he been well-known?

Are there longer performances of them too? One is just getting immersed when it ends.

I'm not familiar with mp3 stuff, so I didn't listen to the ones on the blog. [I'm totally out of modern culture, have no idea what an mp3 is or what you do with it - I know that sounds crazy. Sometimes it's good to behind the times, though.]

the first nasheed is ahmed bukhatir. The second one I dont know who that is.

This YM seems like a group of muslims who lack a strong knowledgeable brother to teach them about Islam.

There are many good Imams in the State of Illinois. You can also invite people from other states.

Somebody should teach these brothers.

Khorasani Khan, I will reply to this here now, but I also posted it in the other thread what are you listening too....

The organization is well developed now. I have a few friends in it who are heavily involved. this group has been very beneficial. Im not sure if they have a steady Imam, but I think many Imams give lectures.

Sorry Aseer Jan :P

Before I fade off into the Wild Blue Yonder, are there any other especially good nasheeds besides the Badakhshan Kandahar Ittehad recommended above?
[does it mean Unity from Badakhshan to Kandahar ? If so what era was this ?]
It IS very haunting and beautiful.
Any others?

Thanks for sharing!

One thing though, I don't like it when they use auto-tune to increase the pitch in these nasheeds. Please if possible post any nasheeds you guys have without the auto-tune effect. They over do it. It's like every nasheed sounds the same.

Nurullah Darwesh's albums are awesome. He has one album called " De Guloono Baran". Its a collabo with Nur Mohammad Shakir Wazir. I use to have it on audiocassette 4 years ago. But some guy stole it from my car.

It was so beautiful that after 4 years I can still remember the lyrics.

One day insha allah I will go back to Khost and find it. Its very valuable to me.
