Pakistan and the US are moving in the direction of yet another confrontation, potentially more serious than all former disagreements, as the Obama administration gets ready to convince Islamabad to stop the development of nuclear arms material. US media reports recently suggested that the United Nations General Assembly next month in New York would be the venue for the new move and that America has the support of four nuclear powers in this matter. NBC news reported on Wednesday that the US was also considering “the worst-case scenario of attempting to snatch Pakistan’s 100-plus nuclear weapons if it feared they were about to fall into the wrong hands”.

The pakistani people are demoralized and have no confidence in their government or army. This is just a poor excuse of an attempt to rally the people under some nationalistic agenda. They are trying to make the people fear destruction so as to come together as one people. Kind of like how the US uses the non threatening Al Qaeda as the bogey man. The Mexican cartels on Americas southern border are more a threat to the US than Al Qaeda can ever hope to be.
