19-Year-Old Man Faces Aggravated Rape Charges

WARNING: This story is about sexual abuse of a child and the details are disturbing.

Police sources say this began when a three-year-old girl came down with a case of gonorrhea. She got that, we're told, after being sexually assaulted by a 9-year-old boy. However, it doesn't stop there. West Baton Rouge detectives say the boy was being assaulted by a 19-year-old man. WAFB's Avery Davidson reports.

19-year-old Stedman Varise is facing two charges of aggravated rape. The crime carries a mandatory life sentence if he is convicted. Sheriff Mike Cazes says Varise admitted that in 2005, he started sexually assaulting a seven-year-old boy. The boy is now nine. Sheriff Cazes says, "It looks like every day when you wake up, you never know what else is going to happen in a small community like West Baton Rouge."

Cazes says this latest case marks the third abuse case his detectives have investigated in the past month. In late June, Addis police arrested Shaelsie Jason and her boyfriend, Jeremy Jordan. They're accused of beating a 16-month-old child to death. In the second case, 29-year-old Doinell Perkins was arrested earlier this month. Detectives say he put a two-year-old girl in scalding hot water, which caused second and third degree burns over almost half her body.

Sheriff Cazes says, "I just don't know what the world is coming to because every day it looks like something else is going to unfold that we would have never dreamed would happen in the area of the town that it's happening, I mean, rural Erwinville? I mean, it's just something that we would have never dreamed of."

Sheriff Cazes says the 19-year-old admits to last molesting the boy on the Fourth of July while he was supposed to be babysitting him. He also allegedly assaulted the boy at the boy's grandmother's house in Baton Rouge. 9NEWS is told both children are in the custody of the state.

Pearl Carter, 72, says she has never been happier after beginning an incestuous relationship with her 26-year-old grandchild Phil Bailey.
The pensioner, from Indiana, US, is using her pension to pay a surrogate mother so they can have a child, reports New Zealand's New Idea magazine (
She said: "I'm not interested in anyone else's opinion. I am in love with Phil and he's in love with me.
"Soon I'll be holding my son or daughter in my arms and Phil will be the proud dad."
Her lover is the son of Pearl's daughter Lynette Bailey - who she put up for adoption when she was 18-years-old.
When his mother passed away, Phil tracked down his long lost grandmother and they quickly fell in love.
Pearl told New Idea magazine ( "From the first moment that I saw him, I knew we would never have a grandmother-grandson relationship.
"For the first time in years I felt sexually alive."
It was during their second week together, after dinner and wine, that Pearl made her move.

"I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him," she added.
"I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back."
Phil revealed: "I wanted to kiss her there and then. My feelings were overwhelming.
"I love Pearl with all my heart. I've always been attracted to older women and I think Pearl is gorgeous. Now I'm going to be a dad and I can't wait.
"Yes, we get laughed at and bullied when we go out and kiss in public but we don't care. You can't help who you fall for."
The pair paid $54,000 (£35,000) to find a surrogate mother and buy a donor egg to inseminate with Phil's sperm.
They placed an advert asking for an open-minded surrogate, and Roxanne Campbell applied.
"Initially I was shocked," says Roxanne, 30. "But they're a brilliant pair and I saw how much they loved each other. I know the baby will be loved too."
Pearl said: "I am finally going to be a mum and not forced to give up my child. Phil's going to be a great dad.
"I never in a million years thought at 72 I'd be 'pregnant' and in love with my grandson.
"I make no apologies and I believe God's given me a second chance."

Father Accused Of Eating Child's Eyes Out
Police Say Man Appeared To Be On PCP

POSTED: 12:10 pm PDT May 15, 2009
UPDATED: 7:32 pm PDT May 15, 2009

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- "It was pretty bizarre," said neighbor Ramon Rodriguez.

Rodriguez was one of the first to discover 34-year-old Angelo Mendoza on April 28 after police said Mendoza bit an eyeball out of his 4-year-old son's face and ate it.

"The guy was crazy. Real bug-eyed; he had to be on drugs," said Rodriguez.

Court documents said neighbors checked on Mendoza's son, Angelo Jr., after they noticed the father acting nervously and fleeing from his east Bakersfield apartment in his wheelchair. Inside, they found little Angelo naked and bleeding. Police said the boy had numerous bites to his hands and his eyes were swollen shut. Doctors said the boy's left eye and muscle were completely missing. His other eye was mutilated beyond repair. The boy told them, "My daddy ate my eyes out." Rodriguez said meanwhile Mendoza approached him at a neighbor's vacant house down the street.

Rodriguez said the boy's father wheeled himself into the front yard and asked Rodriguez to play with him and a pet dog. He was wearing boxers and a sweater. When Rodriguez refused, Mendoza got off his wheelchair and dragged himself into a back yard, where he found an ax.

By then Mendoza had stripped naked. He chained himself to a tree in the back yard and began hacking at his leg with a pickax while yelling incoherently.

"He told me to look into the sun and pray with him. I was kinda scared for a minute," said Rodriguez.

Then Rodriguez jumped on Mendoza and wrestled the ax away.

"As soon as I grabbed the ax he tried to bite me, and I had to hold him down with my knee. There was dry blood around his mouth. I don't know if it was his own, but I'm pretty sure it was his son's now that I hear the story," said Rodriguez.

The police report said Mendoza appeared to be under the influence of PCP. Rodriguez said had he known about little Angelo, the outcome would have been different.

"I would've just let him cut his leg off. What happened to his son is not right. I would've left him alone," said Rodriguez.

Mendoza was arrested on charges of torture, aggravated mayhem, and cruelty to a child. The toddler is now in the custody of Child Protective Services. Mendoza is due in court May 20. His bail is set at $1 million.

Police: Teen Had Sex With Girl's Body
Alexander Pacheco Bragged To Friend About Corpse

POSTED: 12:29 pm MDT May 13, 2009

BOULDER, Colo. -- The 18-year-old Broomfield man accused in the slaying of a 13-year-old girl admitted to several friends that he killed her, according to evidence laid out in a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Boulder.

Alexander Paul Pacheco is charged with first-degree murder in the October 2008 slaying of Kelsey Shannon. Her badly decomposed remains were found in a Broomfield drainage ditch last January.

An autopsy determined that Kelsey died as a result of "homicidal violence."
According to testimony in Pacheco's preliminary hearing, he told a friend he strangled Shannon "until her eyes rolled back in her head." He then stabbed her in the throat multiple times to make sure she was dead.

Also revealed in court Wednesday: Pacheco admitted to a friend that he had sex with the corpse afterward until the body turned cold. He faces an additional charge of abuse of a corpse, based on that admission.

A friend of Pacheco told police that Pacheco took him to the area where he had dumped the body and said he wanted to retrieve a condom that he used after killing Kelsey. The friend told police that Pacheco also showed a lock of hair he kept in a tissue that he said belonged to Kelsey.

Pacheco visited the body several times in a watery marsh, according to police. Pacheco may have tried moving it with a sled to better hide it and also debated putting in a barrel filled with soda and bleach in the hopes it would eat away at the body. He said he could smash the teeth and spread them over Colorado so police couldn't identify the remains through dental records.

Additional testimony revealed that Pacheco and Kelsey were a couple and that the two had sex during the relationship. On Oct. 14, Kelsey told her parents that she was going to go for a walk, after she and her parents had a disagreement about Kelsey's relationship with Pacheco. She never returned home and was reported as a runaway.

Pacheco also told friends he wouldn't get caught because she had written a "runaway" note.

The preliminary hearing is the first time evidence against Pacheco has been revealed. District Judge John E. Popovich will decide if there is enough evidence for Pacheco to stand trial.

Pacheco has been held without bond since his arrest three days after Kelsey's body was discovered.

Attempt to ensnare boyfriend comes back to bite Indiana woman

MARCH 18--Meet Michelle Owen. Concerned that an ex-boyfriend had used her laptop to search for child pornography, the Indiana woman asked police to search the computer for illegal images, but had her plan backfire when cops discovered two videos of her engaged in illicit acts with a dog. Owen, 24, was charged last week with two felony bestiality counts in connection with the video files, which a detective found in the laptop's "recycle bin." At the time Owen asked cops to search the computer, she was locked up in the Johnson County Jail on a public intoxication charge (which violated the terms of her release in a prior drunk driving case). According to a police affidavit, a copy of which you'll find here, a cop told Owen that he had found videos of her on the laptop and asked if she "knew what those files might be." Owen, pictured in the below mug shot, replied, "The one with the dog." Cops believe that the dog in question, Toby, is a beagle. After asking if she was "going to be charged with this," Owen said that the videos "were just something she did when she was drunk and barely remembers it," adding that she tried to "delete them the next day when she was sober."

Girl Forced to Help Killer, Police Say
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 27) - A young girl who told police her father forced her to help as he cut up her mother's body with an electric saw said she could only look away when the head fell to the floor.
The girl is the chief witness against James Hawkins, 31, a prison parolee charged with first-degree murder in the death of Charlene Gaither, 28, a longtime companion with whom he had three children. His trial is scheduled for September and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Police say Gaither was killed in February 2008 at the apartment she shared with Hawkins, their then 12-year-old daughter, Keyuna Thomas, and two boys, ages 9 and 11.
Keyuna, now 13, told police she saw Hawkins stab her mother in the neck with a knife and then strangle her after she threatened to call police during an argument.

The girl told police her father forced her to help as he cut up the body a day after the killing.
Hawkins denies killing Gaither, but police say he acknowledged dumping her body along a rural highway after severing her head, hands and feet.
"We hope to establish that he, in fact, gave no statement," said defense lawyer Larry Nance. "That's his position, that he didn't say that."
But prosecutors say Hawkins, who had filed a missing person report on Gaither, blurted out to police that he had disposed of her body.

"It was a voluntary statement, a spontaneous statement," assistant state prosecutor Patience Branham said.
Branham spoke Monday after a scheduled court hearing was postponed until May 22 on a defense petition to dismiss the alleged statement.

Hawkins, who is being held on a $4 million bond, has denied speaking with detectives about the killing.
Authorities say Gaither died on Feb. 9, 2008, about five months after Hawkins was paroled on a 15-year prison sentence for a string of robberies. His parole was set to end in December.

His daughter was 4 when Hawkins was convicted of armed robbery in 1999.
Hawkins reported Gaither missing Feb. 12 and her torso was found two days later in rural Mississippi, just south of Memphis. The severed body parts were not found, and the body was identified through DNA analysis.
The girl, now in the custody of her mother's family, said her younger brothers did not witness the slaying nor see their mother's body. But, she said, she was forced to help clean up the bloody scene and drag the body to a freezer where it was stored temporarily.
"I told my dad I didn't want to do this anymore," she told police. "He says, 'You want to die, too?'"

Man charged with cruelty for tattooing toddler

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

A Floyd County man has been charged with child cruelty after authorities say he tattooed his 3-year-old son.

Floyd County Police Sgt. Teri Davis said Eugene Ashley, 24, tattooed the back of his son’s right shoulder with “DB,” which stands for “Daddy’s Boy,” sometime this spring. The man told police he was intoxicated at the time, Davis said.

The child’s mother, Amy Ashley, was not present during the incident.

The tattoo was discovered after an unidentified person complained to the Department of Family and Children Services about the conditions at the Ashley home. The Ashleys have three or four children, Davis said.

“You keep thinking you’ve seen it all, and then voila,” Davis said.

The children remain with their mother; Eugene Ashley was arrested May 21 and faces charges of child cruelty and tattooing a person younger than 18 years old, the latter being a misdemeanor, Davis said.

Ashley has been released from jail; information on his bond amount was not immediately available.

West Bank teen arrested in rape and murder of 8-month-old
Posted by clin June 07, 2009 09:50AM

A 17-year-old Terrytown man was arrested on charges of aggravated rape and first-degree murder of an 8-month-old child Saturday afternoon, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said.

Arnold T. Ross, of 136 Friedrichs Road in Terrytown, was booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Facility. No bond is available on the first-degree murder charge.

Ross was arrested after officers responded to a call of an unresponsive infant at 1656 Gary Court, Apt. B, near Gretna.

The infant, Da-Von Lonzo, was taken to Ochsner Westbank where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to a release issued by Col. John Fortunato, a spokesman for the sheriff's office.

The death was initially unclassified, but the Jefferson Parish coroner's office later reported it as a homicide after an autopsy of the child's body revealed multiple fractures consistent with a beating and tears in the anus.

Ross, who said he was the boyfriend of the infant's mother, initially told detectives that the baby fell down the stairs while he was babysitting, Fortunato said. But a neighbor reported hearing loud noises coming from the apartment, and investigators noted inconsistencies in Ross's account.

Ross later admitted that he beat the infant repeatedly when he would not stop crying, Fortunato said. When the child began to defecate on himself, Ross said he tried to clean it up, causing the tears, according to the release.

Ross has a record of previous arrests for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana, obscenity, battery on a correctional officer, three counts of battery on a teacher, three counts of theft, illegal carrying of a weapon and assault.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - An Austin woman is charged with injury to a child after a hospital-surveillance video caught her putting feces into her 3-year-old child's Central Ventricular line cap.

Emily McDonald, 23, of Manor "admitted she knew her actions would result in her daughter's prolonged illness," said Lt. Jeff Hampton of the Austin Police Department's Child Abuse Unit.

The charge is a first-degree felony punishable by life in prison.

Dell Children's Hospital admitted the little girl on April 15 with high fever and a long history of chronic diarrhea. During her stay, the hospital staff became suspicious of McDonald.

The little girl was being treated for serious infections caused by unusual organisms which can be found in feces, and the hospital was unsure how she was getting these infections during her hospital stay. So staff decided to place a surveillance camera inside the child's room.

The hospital watched the surveillance video and found McDonald putting fecal matter on her finger from the child's diaper and rubbing it on the inside of her child's feeding tube. These types of actions are life-threatening to the child, as they could cause sepsis.

After seeing the video, hospital staff called the child abuse unit of the Austin Police Department and alerted them of the situation. When the police arrived, McDonald confessed to manipulating her daughter's feeding tube by wiping the end of it with feces.

McDonald admitted to doing this five times during her daughter's stay at the hospital, police said.

"The Seton Family of Hospitals has many security and safety procedures in place to protect our patients," said John Hellerstedt, MD, the vice president of medical affairs. "If we suspect possible injury to one of our patients, we take legal and necessary steps to protect their health and safety."

Meanwhile, McDonald was keeping a blog and YouTube diary of the ordeal - which included therapy, surgeries, and, according to McDonald's writings, great stress to herself and the rest of the family.

The little girl had spent much of her young life in and out of the hospital - according to the blog and earlier writings right after she was born.

Both the blog and YouTube channel were made private this afternoon and are no longer available to the public.

"The last few days have been frustrating," McDonald, the mother of three, wrote on May 27, the last entry available to the public on TheMcDonaldFive blog. "It's one thing to spend 8mos (sic) in the NICU after your child's born but it's 10x worse having to revert back to that lifestyle after having your child home for 2.5yrs."

McDonald had many videos of her children on YouTube:

McDonald was originally granted a personal recognizance bond by one judge. However, when Judge Kocurek found out about the case, she was "distressed". She revoked the personal recognizance and added a bond of $100,000 instead. Now she has a monitoring bracelet on her ankle and has been ordered not to see any of her three children.

That's despite the fact that Wednesday detectives said they believe McDonald was only a danger to her three year old daughter. Austin District Judge Charlie Baird released McDonald Tuesday on her own recognizance, despite an initial bond set at $100,000.

Judge Baird said he believed his ruling was justified because McDonald has no criminal record. McDonald's case was then assigned to Judge Julie Kocurek. She ordered McDonald to be rearrested Wednesday afternoon.

McDonald has since bonded out of jail and was given an electronic ankle monitor. She is not allowed to see her three children. Her other six and four-year old children are staying with McDonald's husband.

Police said McDonald has never been diagnosed with Munchausen by proxy syndrome, a form of child abuse when a caregiver deliberately makes a child ill. But, they did mention "one reason she offered to us as an explanation is that it would keep her daughter sick to gain attention," said Detective Marcy Graham.

If the charges are true, then McDonald was perpetrating a cycle of sickness that she was already aware of right after the girl's premature birth a few years ago.

In a 2007 article, she said she was told that her daughter may not survive past birth.

"From the moment she was delivered life has been tough for her," she wrote. "While being wheeled into the operating room I will never forget the obstetrician asking if my husband and I were sure we wanted [her daughter] to be resuscitated. The next words out of her mouth were, 'you know she's probably not going to make it.'"

This American doesn't Respect His Mama - Hogtied Mother, Beat Her With Baseball Bat, Fractured Her Skull And Then Ripped Ear From Her Head
By Roselee Papandrea / Times-News
June 10, 2009 - 8:33AM

GIBSONVILLE - After searching for several hours Wednesday morning, Gibsonville police, along with investigators from a slew of law enforcement agencies, arrested a man accused of tying up his mother and beating her with a baseball bat.

John Woodrow Reese Jr., 39, of Smith Street, Gibsonville, allegedly broke into the home of his mother, 58-year-old Helen Reese, on Burlington Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Gibsonville police Chief Mike Woznick.

At about 6 p.m., John Reese allegedly "hogtied" his mother using duct tape, binding her wrists and her ankles together. He then beat her through the night with a baseball bat, Woznick said.

Early Wednesday morning, he left her house. Despite her extensive injuries, Helen Reese managed to break free at about 3:45 a.m., and she sought help from a neighbor.

"I don't know exactly how she made it, but she did," Woznick said.

Gibsonville police were called at about 4 a.m. The first officers who arrived on scene spotted John Reese.

"They actually saw him, and he took off and evaded us," Woznick said.

Police say that John Reese is Helen Reese's only child. Family members told investigators that John Reese is a "crack addict," Woznick said.

"Narcotics might have caused it," Woznick said. "We don't really know."

Helen Reese was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center and was then transferred to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Woznick said her jaw was fractured, her ear was detached and she received wounds on her chest and back.

Helen Reese, who works at Carolina Biological Supply Co., was listed in good condition Wednesday afternoon, and she is expected to be released from the hospital today.

Investigators from the Gang Task Force, the Alamance and Guilford county sheriff's departments, the N.C. Highway Patrol, the Graham Police Department, the Elon Police Department, the State Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, the N.C. Department of Correction and county Probation and Parole assisted Gibsonville police in its search for Reese Wednesday morning.

The Gang Task Force found John Reese on North Church Street near Beaumont Avenue at about 10:05 a.m. Wednesday.

"The capture was without incident," Woznick said.

He was processed at Burlington Police Department. The follow-up investigation is being conducted by Gibsonville Lt. R.M. Dixon and Alamance County Sheriff's Maj. Tim Britt.

John Reese was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, breaking and entering, first-degree kidnapping and assault on a female. He was placed in the Alamance County jail under $200,000 bond, Woznick said.

John Reese has been in trouble with the law in the past. His record dates back to 1989, when he was convicted of two counts of first-degree attempted rape. He received a suspended sentence at the time. In 2001, Reese was convicted of several forgery, uttering and employment-security-violation charges. He served less than four months in prison for those crimes, according to the N.C. Department of Correction Web site.

In October 2008, he was convicted of forgery and uttering forged papers. He received a suspended sentence and was placed on 36 months supervised probation. Dixon said that John Reese stole his mother's checkbook and forged checks. Helen Reese reported the incident to authorities.

Mother Gang-Raped Then Forced To Have Sex With 12 yr Old Son.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Two teenagers have been arrested on charges that they gang-raped a mother and forced her to have sex with her 12-year-old son.

Authorities said 14-year-old Avion Lawson and 16-year-old Nathan Walker are being charged as adults with armed sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, sexual performance by a child, armed home invasion and aggravated battery.

Lawson was arrested Tuesday after police said they matched DNA evidence found on a condom in the victim's home to the teen.

Walker was taken into custody Thursday after police said they found the teen's left palm print inside the victim's apartment.

Both teens are being held in the Palm Beach County Jail without bail.

Authorities said the boys were among a group of about 10 suspects who forced their way into the woman's Dunbar Village home on the night of June 18.

According to police reports, a young man tricked the victim into opening the door of her home after he told her that the tires on his vehicle were flat.

Police said the woman and her son were then ambushed by three masked teens carrying weapons, who pushed the two back into the home.

Investigators said seven other teens entered the home and demanded money while separating the two victims into different bedrooms.

According to police reports, the mother was then raped and beaten by all 10 teens.

Police said the victim's preteen son had a plate smashed over his head and numerous household liquids poured into his eyes. Investigators said the boy was also forced at gunpoint to participate in the sexual assault.

The invaders eventually fled the scene after more than 20 minutes inside of the victim's home, police told WPBF-TV.

Following the attack, police said the woman and her son walked a mile to the hospital.

Police told WPBF-TV they are still searching for as many as eight more invaders in the case, all of whom they said they believe to be between 14 and 18 years old.

Casey Todd, a 27-year-old Rapes his 6-Week-Old Daughter So Brutally That He Brakes Her Leg!

Casey Todd Charged With Molesting His 6-Week-Old Child

4:01 pm EDT June 23, 2009

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- A Carroll County man is charged with molesting and seriously hurting his 6-week-old child.

Casey Todd, 27, was arrested last week at a home in Carrollton after the child was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

CBS Atlanta spoke with great aunt of the baby's mother.

Barbara Cox is so furious she could barely contain her rage.

"I am so disgusted. I wish I could get a hold of him,” said Cox. "[I would] beat the hell out of him."

Todd fathered the child of Cox's grand-niece and now Todd is accused of molesting his own two-month old daughter.

"Vile things. If you could've seen that baby when they brought her to the ambulance-you wouldn't believe it," said Cox.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Department said it all happened a week ago Monday.

An investigator told CBS Atlanta the uncle of the baby girl had just come home from work early that morning and found his distraught sister with her badly injured child.

They called 911 and when investigators arrived they found a baby who had been assaulted in the most brutal way.

The sheriff's department said the little girl suffered a fractured skull, broken leg and had been sexually abused.

"You can imagine a month old baby being put through that? That's rough on the mother, on everybody," said Cox.

The sheriff's department confirmed the baby's 22-year-old mother was asleep at the time of the assault.

She was not charged.

Cox said the entire family is trying to recover from the unspeakable and the unthinkable.

The sheriff's department says the baby is recovering and is in the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services.

Todd is charged with aggravated child molestation, aggravated battery, and first degree cruelty to a child.

Police: Woman accused of killing newborn ate brain

Associated Press Writer

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A woman charged with murdering her 3 1/2-week-old son used a knife and two swords to dismember the child and ate parts of his body, including his brain, before stabbing herself in the torso and slicing her own throat, police said Monday.

Otty Sanchez, 33, is charged with capital murder in the death of her infant son, Scott Wesley Buchholtz-Sanchez. She was recovering from her wounds at a hospital, and was being held on $1 million bail.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the early Sunday morning attack occurred a week after the child's father moved out. The child's aunt and two cousins, ages 5 and 7, were in the house, but none were harmed.

McManus, who appeared uncomfortable as he addressed reporters, said Sanchez apparently ate the child's brain and some other body parts. She also tore his face off, chewed off three of his toes and decapitated the infant before stabbing herself.

"It's too heinous for me to describe it any further," McManus said.

Officers called to Sanchez's house at about 5 a.m. Sunday found her sitting on the couch "screaming that she killed her baby," police spokesman Joe Rios said. They found the boy's body in a bedroom.

Police said Sanchez said the devil told her to kill her son.

"It was a spontaneous utterance," McManus said. "She said she was hearing voices."

Sanchez does not yet have a lawyer, police said, and was hospitalized in San Antonio. The police declined to identify other family members.

No one answered the door Monday at Sanchez's home, where the blinds were shut. A hopscotch pattern and red hearts were drawn on the walk leading up to the house.

Neighbor Luis Yanez said everyone on the street was appalled by the news.

"Why would you do that to your baby?" said Yanez, 23, a tire technician. "It brings chills to you. They can't defend themselves."

Man charged with animal abuse, accused of having sex with his dog

An Orange County man is in jail this afternoon after being accused of having sex with his dog.

Laszlo Arsenio Horvath, 21, is charged with animal abuse for having sex with a Whippet-mix named Silvy. Orange County deputies said the dog's injuries were so severe she had to be put down.

Deputies began investigating Horvath last month after receiving a tip on Crimeline about the alleged animal abuse. When deputies contacted Horvath at his home near Bithlo, they found the dog's legs were duct taped closed with a cloth pressed against her lower half, according to an arrest affidavit.

After Horvath refused to pay for medical attention to treat the dog, investigators convinced Horvath to turn the dog over to animal services. A veterinarian decided it would be best to euthanize the 8-year-old animal.

A necropsy was conducted on the animal and veterinarians discovered human, male DNA inside the dog's body.

Deputies conducted an interview with Horvath today during which officers say he confessed to sodomizing the dog several times. He told investigators he did it because, "he was lonely," the report said.

Horvath was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail about 4 p.m.

Arizona woman admits torturing, killing, burning man
PHOENIX (AP) — A Phoenix woman accused of torturing and killing a man in a wheelchair says she did it because he was a snitch, and she enjoyed it.

In a jailhouse interview with television station KTVK, 33-year-old Angela Simpson said in a calm voice that she lured 46-year-old Terry Neely to her apartment with a promise of sex and drugs.

Once there, Simpson says, she beat Neely with a tire iron, pulled out his teeth and strangled him with a television cable during three days of torture.

Simpson says she dismembered Neely's body and set it on fire.

Neely's remains were found burning in a trash container outside of a church on Aug. 5. Autopsy results show a 3-inch nail had been driven into his head.

Simpson said she has no remorse for her actions and actually enjoyed killing Neely.

HAMILTON — A $1 million bond has been set for Hamilton mother accused of killing her 5-week-old son and stuffing him in a garbage can.

Butler County Common Pleas Judge Andrew Nastoff ordered that bond against Asuncion “Suzie” Avila-Villa, 25, after she pleaded not guilty today, Sept. 1, to charges of aggravated murder, endangering children, gross abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

A Butler County grand jury returned those charges in an indictment Monday, stating that Avila-Villa, of the 1300 block of Shuler Avenue, killed the child to cover up a sexual relationship with a juvenile.

Avila-Villa could face the death penalty if convicted.

Butler County Prosecutor Robin Piper said the infant was the child of Avila-Villa and a boy 14 or 15 years old. The relationship took place between September 2008 and November 2008, Piper said.

Piper said his office does not take capital cases — those involving the death penalty — lightly, but he believed that the grand jury was correct in its recommendation.

On Aug. 24, Avila-Villa reported to police that her baby had been taken by a former boyfriend. Detectives found the baby the next day in a trash can in an alley behind her apartment building.

Avila-Villa admitted to grabbing and shaking the infant, according to court records.

In an affidavit seeking a warrant to search the Shuler residence, detectives said, “Eventually, Asuncion admitted that the baby was in a bouncy seat in the bedroom ... crying for an extended period of time and she became upset and grabbed him by the face with both hands and shook him. After she shook him he became quiet and then quit breathing.”

According to an autopsy, the baby, Israel Santos, died of a crushed skull, Butler County Coroner Dr. Richard Burkhardt said. The baby also had a broken arm and low body weight for his age, Burkhardt said.

Michigan Mom Aimee Louise Sword Faces Trial for Incest With Son She Gave Up for Adoption
Police Say Sword Contacted Son, Now a Teenager, Over the Internet

Sept. 11, 2009—

A Michigan mother is facing a trial after being accused of having a summer romance with the teenage son she gave up for adoption.

Aimee Louise Sword, 35, who is free on bond after her arrest, was initially charged with three counts of felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct. A judge this week reduced the charges to one count, but police say she is accused of a "very serious crime."

Sword began a sexual relationship with her biological son in the summer of 2008 after reconnecting with him on the Internet, Waterford Township Police Sgt. Scott Good told

"She had given the child up early on in life for adoption," he said, adding that Sword's adoption agreement permitted limited contact with the boy.

Good said police were notified about the alleged incestuous romance in the fall after being contacted by Child Protective Services.

After an investigation that resulted in the three-count warrant, Sword surrendered to police April 24. She was released a short time later on a $3,000 bond.

Sword's lawyer Kenneth Burch told that his client has pleaded not guilty ahead of the pre-trial date set for Sept. 21.

"Anybody would be distraught and she is because of the allegations she is faced with," he said. "She's meeting this head on."

Burch would not go into detail about Sword or her life, but confirmed she has other children who have since been removed from the house by CPS. There were never any allegations of abuse involving the other children, he said.

Her ex-mother-in-law, before hanging up on, said that she's "not interested in any interview, anything with my grandchildren."

Mom Accused of Incest

Police said it was clear there were multiple sexual encounters with the teen.

Because of police policy regarding criminal sexual conduct cases and the fact that Sword's son is a minor, Good said he could not release other details, including the boy's whereabouts or even his current age.

Sword's ex-husband couldn't be reached for comment.

Good said that despite the low bond, the charge against her is "very severe."

Father Charged with Rape of 8 Day-Old Baby

FORREST CITY, AR – Police say a Forrest City, Arkansas man has been charged with raping his 8 day-old baby.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Forrest City Medical Center, September 1, 2008, about a baby that had been sexually assaulted. Forrest City police say the baby also had a skull fracture and had to be transferred to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock because of the severity of the injuries.

Investigators say the father attacked the infant during a visit at her 15 year-old mother's house. Police say other people were at the home at the time of the assault.

Police say Davis had no criminal record since turning 18, but could not say whether Davis had a juvenile RAP Sheet. The information could not be released under Arkansas state law, said investigators.

Police say the infant’s father, 18 year-old Reginald Davis, has been charged with Rape and Second-Degree Battery. The case is still under investigation and it is unknown if any other arrests will be made, said Forrest City Police.

Davis is being held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in circuit court on September 17.

Animal Instincts
Zoophiles love and have sex with animals. Will the world ever accept them?
By Thomas Francis
published: August 20, 2009

During his sophomore year in high school, Cody Beck finally got fed up with hearing homophobic cracks. If his classmates thought being gay was weird (Beck was openly bisexual), he had a confession that would blow their minds. He told them he is sexually attracted to dogs and horses.
"I just couldn't keep it in anymore," Beck says. "Just for the hell of it, I figured I'd throw it out there and have them make fun of me even more." Which they did. An 18-year-old from Arizona who graduated from high school this past year, Beck says classmates taunted him by calling him "Bestiality Dude."

Being a "zoophile" in modern American society, Beck says, is "like being gay in the 1950s. You feel like you have to hide, that if you say it out loud, people will look at you like a freak."

Now Beck believes he and other members of this minority sexual orientation, who often call themselves "zoos," can follow the same path as the gay rights movement. Most researchers believe 2 to 8 percent of the population harbors forbidden desires toward animals, and Beck hopes this minority group can begin appealing to the open-minded for acceptance.

But if those like Beck are to make the same gains as gays, it's apparent they will have to do so without the help of gay rights groups, which so far want nothing to do with a zoophile movement. What's more, they will have to wage battle with well-funded and politically connected animal-protection activists.

And the most difficult task will be to take possession of their public image. In an Internet age, zoophiles are more exposed than ever. Bestiality-themed websites are a Google search away. Hometown newspapers have learned that police reports of sex with animals become the best-read stories on their websites.

State lawmakers across the country have taken their cues by proposing anti-bestiality laws. In Florida, state Sen. Nan Rich of Sunrise proposed legislation earlier this year that would make bestiality a felony. Her bill was in response to news reports from January 2007, when a man from Mossy Point was suspected of sexually assaulting and strangling a female goat; he was arrested months later in the abduction of another goat. Rich's bill unanimously passed in the Florida Senate but died in the House, where conservative legislators might have been bashful about devoting time to a bill about sex with animals.

A similar bill was proposed this year in the Alaska Legislature, where it was known derisively as "The Ididadog." That bill failed for similar reasons — certainly not because of organized opposition. In Arizona, police arrested a Mesa deputy fire chief in 2006 for sex acts with his neighbor's lamb, which spurred state legislators to make such acts a felony. That same year, Washington state finally made bestiality illegal, inspired by a man in Enumclaw who was killed while having sex with a horse — a case that also prompted a bill last year by a Tennessee legislator. The past few weeks have brought perhaps the most famous animal sex case — a South Carolina man charged for the second time with committing buggery against the same horse.

Of course, the Internet has a way of turning exposure to strength. It has allowed zoophiles from around the world to interact — not only to swap erotica but also to form a community and rehearse their arguments for the political stage. The Internet also makes zoophiles accessible for the first time. They can be found in chatrooms, through websites that advocate their cause, and virtual-reality meetups.

As this group gains confidence, zoophiles figure to be more open and then more outspoken in their demands for personal liberty and against discrimination. Improbable as it may seem, zoophiles might yet prove the new frontier in the battle for sexual civil rights.

As cave drawings will attest, there's a carnal desire in some humans to lie with beasts. And though many civilizations have tried, none has been able to eradicate it, much to the frustration of organizations such as the Humane Society.

"A bazillion cultures worldwide have prohibited this behavior," sighs Bernard Unti, a spokesperson. Indeed, for committing this ultimate taboo, people have been jailed, tortured, and executed, but until the recent wave of legislation, Western culture has let humiliation and social ostracism act as the primary deterrents.

By introducing bills that bring more formal punishment, policymakers have triggered a debate they might not have anticipated: the question of whether bestiality belongs with pedophilia as they assume or whether some acts of humans having sex with animals are victimless.

The Humane Society is preparing for that battle. "We have tried to reclassify 'bestiality' with 'animal sex abuse,'" Unti says. He's heard zoophiles compare themselves to gays who lived in a close-minded culture not long ago, but Unti says that argument ignores the role of human over animal. "The example of homosexuality may offer some comfort to such persons, but [human-animal relationships] are fundamentally unequal relationships... more akin to taking advantage of minor boys or girls." In Unti's estimation, animals — like children — are not equipped with a brain that can withstand the coercion of a human adult. He claims there's a "complex correlation" linking people who have sex with animals and those who commit violent acts against people. Asked for the scientific literature that supports such a link, Unti cites research that treats all sex with animals as a violent act, which will necessarily come out hostile toward zoophiles.

Piers Beirne, a criminologist with the University of South Maine and author of the recently published book Confronting Animal Abuse, deals with the moral questions. He says that because bestiality always occurs with domesticated animals, there's an imbalance of power. Those animals are "completely dependent on us for food, for water, for shelter, and affection," Beirne says from his office in Portland, Maine. "I think it's morally wrong for a human to have sex with nonhuman animals for exactly the same reasons it's wrong for him to have sex with human babies or adolescents."

Senator Rich's press secretary, when asked to supply the scientific evidence backing her claims in the media about the connections between sex with animals and pedophilia, furnished a list of researchers, including Christopher Hensley, a professor at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

But like those cited by Unti, Hensley's studies treat all human sex with animals as rape, based on the assumption that an animal cannot consent. Bestiality was the "strongest variable," he says, when it came to predicting violent criminal behavior.

However, his study was confined to prison inmates — an unusually violent demographic.

Hensley says his studies and analysis of past research leads him to believe the "graduation hypothesis." He believes "children who engage in animal cruelty graduate to humans as they get older." Hensley adds, "You see that in serial killers."

He agrees with Rich that there ought to be tougher laws against people who commit bestiality. But he suggests that waiting for the culprit to turn 18 is unwise. A budding sociopath, says Hensley, might be identified earlier. "When a child engages in animal cruelty, that serves as a red flag to the law enforcement community that there's a problem with that child and he needs some psychological help."

Of course, Hensley's ideas begin with the belief that bestiality equals animal cruelty — a premise no zoophile would accept. They describe sex that does not resemble descriptions of how serial killers raped and tortured animals. Their assertion makes it not an issue of cruelty but of morality.

Asked in March if this was a moral issue, Rich said her motivation was the desire "to protect anybody who would be victimized by sexually deviant crimes."

Having written her bill without consulting zoophiles, Rich might have been surprised to learn they too would have condemned the rape and strangulation death of the Panhandle goat that was the source of her bill. Zoophiles would have asked her to draft the bill to differentiate between those who rape animals and those who consider sex with them consensual.

But when asked whether the bill had opponents, it became clear that, to Rich, this was a question with a morally obvious answer. "How would anybody voice objection?" she asked incredulously. "Who thinks it's OK to have sex with animals?"

In fairness to Rich and to researchers who back her bill, it can be difficult to find zoophiles — it seems they prefer to find you. In March, after publishing a blog post that questioned whether bestiality was really linked with rape and child molestation, as Rich claimed in public remarks, I began an email correspondence with a zoophile who had found the article online. He soon decided I was open-minded enough to discuss the subject, but he insisted on some unusual conditions to protect his anonymity.

James (not his real name) was wary of a prosecutor's subpoena for New Times phone records. So he insisted we talk only through, an online role-playing game. Having created an avatar, I was asked to go to an uninhabited island where we could talk without bumping into others. James had a wolf's head and a big bushy tail, but he walked upright and wore a man's clothing. Speaking through microphones on our computers, he told me he was a middle-aged white man from the "upper Midwest."

I asked him when he had his first inkling of being a zoophile. "When you're a kid, you're not really aware of too much sexually," he says. "But I was always interested in animals, starting around age 10. It was an extension of my affection for the dog and of my discovery of sex. He's a male. I'm a male. I wanted to make him feel good."

His attraction to dogs in general — and Siberian huskies in particular — became stronger in his teens and stronger yet in his 20s. "For years, I thought I was the only one who did this," James says. "I felt like there was no one I could talk to about this. I definitely knew I wasn't going to be talking to my parents or my friends about this."

Not until he came across pornography from Denmark that showed a dog and a horse with three women did he realize he wasn't alone in his desires. Still, as he explored the pornographic world of bestiality, he recognized a difference between himself and a group that seemed bored with human sex and for whom animals were a thrilling way to spice things up. "This is not a fetish," James says of his attractions. "It's an orientation, a lifestyle."

Even if he had wanted to adopt more conventional tastes, James couldn't have. "The human body turns me off — women wear perfumes; guys sweat. It irks me. You can show me pictures of nude models and it doesn't turn me on. I think the human body is kind of stupid. A big-horned sheep, certain breeds of dogs, are much more physically attractive to me than a woman with big breasts or a man with a big penis."

James suggested I speak with his friend, a 44-year-old man from the western United States who also asked to speak under a pseudonym. Ron, as we'll call him, uses an Internet connection and email that make it nearly impossible to track his IP address. Our interview occurred through Yahoo Messenger. Ron tells of a fantasy about horses when he was teenager, but acting it out seemed impossible to him. It remained that way through his teens and almost his 20s, "until the day I found by accident a porn site with pictures of men and women having intimacy with horses," Ron says. "I realized that it was possible, and I have not looked back since."

In fact, he has an attraction to several animals — among them: dogs, horses, and goats. Raised a Southern Baptist, Ron says his first struggle was with bisexuality and that after some soul-searching, he ultimately decided that "God is more concerned with how we treat others than what sex we have."

Both Ron and James interact with fellow zoophiles through websites, and neither has found patterns that typify the discovery of one's attractions nor commonalities in background or life experiences. James rattles off a long list of zoophiles he's known who occupy different demographic categories: "white, black, Asian, Mormon, Amish, Catholic, atheist, pagan, Jewish, male and female, and two who are legally blind."

Among the seven zoophiles I consulted for this article, all say that theirs is an orientation and that to meet the definition, one must not harm an animal. For this reason, a man who has sex with chickens, for instance, is not a zoophile because the act is sure to hurt if not kill the chicken. Zoophiles I spoke with say they are as opposed to forcing sex upon animals as the rest of society is opposed to the rape of humans.

In fact, a zoophile from Southwest Florida named Malcolm Brenner wrote Senator Rich a letter voicing support for the principles of her bill — if not for the assumptions that underlie it. "I said I agreed with her trying to prevent animal abuse, but I tried to point out that what gets reported in the news is not zoophilia," Brenner says. "These are instances of bestiality that have injured the animal."

Brenner, a 58-year-old freelance writer, says he hopes to publish a novel he's chipped away at for 30 years titled Wet Goddess: Recollections of a Dolphin Lover. It's the fictionalized account of a love affair he had with a dolphin, named Ruby in the novel.

Around age 11, Brenner began to experience urges he knows now as "mixoscopic zoophilia" — the term for watching two animals have sex. Except in Brenner's fantasy, he says, "I was one of animals who were mating."

Though Brenner wasn't raised in a religious family, he knew he was exploring attractions forbidden by society. "I had a relationship with my family's dog, and I felt very ashamed about that. I hadn't developed an attraction toward women."

He tried, though. And Brenner says he almost convinced himself, except for the persistence of the dolphin. He met her in the '70s, as a teenager, while photographing dolphins in an amusement park called Floridaland, in Osprey. The photos were to be illustrated in a book by a family friend.

"The dolphin developed an attraction toward me," Brenner says. "And she had to work very hard to get me to respond to what she wanted."

It was a rough courtship. "When you're in the water with a dolphin, you do whatever they want you to," Brenner says. In this dolphin's case, he adds, "If you don't do what they want, they'll push you to the bottom of a 12-foot pool."

When that didn't work, Brenner says, the dolphin tried a gentler, subtler seduction. "She would take my leg very lightly in her jaws and run her teeth up and down my leg," he says. "It's an incredible sensation. I don't know if other people would find it erotic, but I certainly did."

That method overcame Brenner's resistance. He consummated his flirtations with the dolphin. "It was the most intense experience I've ever had," he says. "A transcendental experience. I felt I was completely wrapped up."

The power of it scared him, though. He didn't want to develop an attachment to her, not only because of their difference in species but also because they were going in different directions: The dolphin's amusement park had closed, and she'd been sold to one in Gulfport, Mississippi; Brenner was attending school that fall in Olympia, Washington. "I felt bad about leaving her," he says of Ruby. "But quite frankly, I was weirded out. I felt I needed to get in a relationship with a woman."

When he returned a year later, he asked a friend how Ruby was doing. The friend casually mentioned the dolphin had died, probably from the stress of moving from her former park to the new one in Mississippi. The news threw Brenner into a depression that lasted five years. Ruby, he's certain, was the love of his life.

In the years since, it has been a battle between Brenner's attraction for animals and his desire to be normal. He was married to his first wife for 12 years, to his second for six. Through it all, he says, "Zoophilia was my fantasy life. Some would make love to their wife and imagine Angelina Jolie. I fantasized I was a wolf having sex with another wolf."

In the mid-'90s, Hani Miletski decided to devote her doctoral dissertation to zoophilia and bestiality. She was a student at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, and Miletski was drawn to the subject not only because it seemed bizarre and fascinating but also because it had received scant attention from researchers. In particular, she noticed researchers had not accounted for the motives behind having sex with animals. Surely there's some common experience, something more reliable than the genetic lottery to explain how some people such as the ones above become attracted to animals. So she set out to find these motives.

Miletski tried several strategies, but the one that worked best was an ad for volunteers she placed in her local alternative weekly newspaper, the Baltimore City Paper. The first zoophile who contacted her told a zoophile friend. Soon they arranged for Miletski to meet the international "zoo" community that had already formed within a still-blossoming technology, the Internet. Miletski had hoped to find a few zoophiles to speak openly about their attractions and conduct a case study. She was astonished to learn how many zoophiles there were and that they were so eager to have their mysterious, forbidden sexual proclivities given a scientific study. In all, she had 160 volunteers and accepted 93 — of whom 82 were men — into her study.

The study was more notable for what it did not find. The zoophiles had no similar childhood experience. Those who grew up in the country around animals were no more likely to become zoophiles than those who grew up in the city without them. They cut across race, geography, religion, and profession. "I could not find anything that says, 'All zoos are this way or that way,'" Miletski says. Having been unable to locate clues suggesting some other motive, Miletski concluded the single explanation for the behavior was the conscious one that zoophiles offered: It was an orientation they were born with.

"They really loved their animals," she said of the research subjects. "To the point that some want to marry them and treat them as spouses."

Miletski's findings not only formed her dissertation but also turned into a book, Understanding Bestiality and Zoophilia, which remains the most authoritative modern text on zoophilia.

When told of Senator Rich's remarks about people who commit bestiality being a threat to children, Miletski says, "I think it's real bull**** for people to say that. There's no connection that we know of. If you said that to zoos, they would be so offended." That's because Miletski says nearly all the zoophiles she interviewed expressed moral revulsion for sex with animals that had not fully matured. In this respect, she says, they recognize the same values that underlie laws against statutory rape.

Miletski and a researcher based in Germany, Andrea Beetz, who conducted a similarly large study, argue that zoophiles are distinguished by their emotional relationship to the animals they love. Because they care for them, they would never consciously inflict pain upon them, even for their own pleasure. A minority of them, Miletski allowed, treat their animals as a "masturbation machine" — but she says that for these zoos, it's the same as casual sex between humans.

Based on her interviews with zoos, Miletski suspects that animals consent to sex with human partners. But she concedes there is no sure way to know.

Ron, the zoophile from the western United States, points out that critics of his sexual practices "can't agree if animals are sentient or are dumb. They can't be both. If [animals] are sentient, [critics] would have to admit that animals can decide for themselves if they want intimacy when and where they choose." Ron believes this to be the case, as do the other zoos interviewed for this article. If animals are not sentient, he continues, "they don't know the difference, and what is it hurting?"

Zoophiles say they act upon the same nonverbal cues for sex as humans do. Brenner, the zoophile from Southwest Florida, asserts that humans having sex are acting on their own animal instincts. And if so, it's silly to deprive another animal of those instincts on the grounds that the animal has a less developed brain.

James, the zoophile I met on Second Life, puts it in even more vivid terms, asking whether he deserves to be imprisoned for raping an animal when he's merely allowing his Rottweiler to mount him.

As upsetting as the comparison of zoophilia to pedophilia is to James, it's evident he's tried to understand those who make it. "When you look at people's relationships to pets in society, they consider pets to be their child," he says. "They'll baby their dog or cat, dote on it, but I think it's blinding them to reality because an animal is not a child with fur. People turn a blind eye to the fact that a dog is a sexual being."

It was one of the most politically explosive quotes of 2003. Then-Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum told a reporter for the Associated Press: "In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be."

Instantly, gay rights activists recognized an attempt by one of the Senate's most conservative Republicans to define their partnerships as a perversion. They mobilized, denouncing Santorum with such force that it brought national attention to a U.S. Senate race in which Santorum was a heavy favorite but lost.

Cody Beck, the Arizona zoophile who came out to his friends, was 12 then and had only just come to realize he was a zoophile. In the years since, he's been thrilled by how activists' efforts have broadened minds about what qualifies as moral, socially acceptable sex. He recognizes the exciting implications it might have for zoophiles like him. But he's crushed by the gay rights movement's rejection of zoophilia as a similarly legitimate orientation.

"I really want to help that movement," Beck says. "But it really makes me feel like if gay people can't accept this, then I'll have to live my whole life having these feelings of alienation."

Rich Ferraro, a national spokesman for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation in New York City, told me that he had never heard of zoophilia. When I explained it to him and explained how zoophiles hope to find an open-minded ally in the gay rights movement, Ferraro said, "That's very far from our mission." He refused to elaborate.

Brian Winfield, a spokesman for Equality Florida, a statewide leader for GLBT rights, was also unfamiliar with zoophilia. He asked for time to huddle with agency leaders before commenting on zoophiles' interest in political alliance. Last week, he told me: "We believe that most people are capable of distinguishing between committed relationships between consenting adults and forcibly having sex with animals. It's just not at all an appropriate analogy."

It's hard to blame leaders of the gay rights movement for wanting to distance themselves from zoophiles. After all, its mission is incomplete, as evidenced by the passage of gay marriage bans in Florida and California last November. And the addition of bestiality into the argument for equality might create a backlash similar to what Santorum predicted — that government shouldn't expand gay rights because then it would have to do the same for zoophiles.

"It's true in a warped sort of way," Beck admits. "But that's a good thing, not a bad thing."

The first zoophile rights group, called Equality for All, has roots in Europe and formed in the '90s. It was the subject of a 2006 documentary film called Coming Soon, but in recent years, it has gone underground, apparently based on EFA founders' fears they would be arrested. Today the group exists primarily as a website, Its webmaster spoke with me on the condition of anonymity.

The EFA webmaster, who wouldn't give his name, says he lives in the Czech Republic and he's in his 20s. In its current condition, with members wary of prosecution, the group can perform little political activism aside from sending email blasts to inform its international membership about legislation that lumps together zoophiles with sadistic forms of bestiality. EFA sent out a notice about Rich's proposed legislation in Florida, for instance. But as that bill's fate was being discussed, the group's online petition had only about 30 signatures.

For those same reasons, there isn't an EFA "platform" other than a requirement that members vow not to cause their animals pain. Asked about the group's reception in the gay community, the EFA webmaster says opinions are split. On the subject of zoophile rights alone, he says, "Some gays resent it because they feel it contributes to the insane 'slippery slope' argument and may interfere with their own efforts." But he notes that those who saw the documentary "see us all in the same boat" and acknowledge a slippery slope that goes in the other direction: "If you allow zoos to be persecuted, who next? Gays?"

Before zoophiles can gain momentum, however, they'll need to close ranks among their own kind. Ron, for instance, says zoos will never gain social acceptance. By asking for it, they're tempting an even more powerful backlash. James isn't quite that pessimistic, but he resents young zoos who clamor for rights. They lack the patience and temperament, he says, to effect social progress.

Beck believes these are expressions of fear that are natural in the early moments of revolution. "That's the story throughout history," he says. "People don't want to stand up for anything, because they don't want to get hurt." He draws some of his own strength from the recent movie Milk, in which Sean Penn plays the nation's first openly gay elected official, San Francisco City Supervisor Harvey Milk. "If we all stand up at once, we'll share the load. What's the point of living if we have to hide who we are?"

Beck will start college in the fall and hopes to become a history teacher. I asked him whether he was sure he was comfortable with my using his real name in this article. "I have the privilege of being one of the only persons to stand up," he says. "That gives me pride."

For a thread trying to inflame me, you could have put in some Uncle Sam rule 34 or something. I don't know, this comes off as trying way too hard.

Why are obvious troll and inflammatory threads even allowed though?

Well...You like to insult cultures and nations outside your borders, when infact your own nation is flithy immoral and dirty full of crimes that go beyond the human mind, we shud make this thread to show specifically how these so called modernised ones act and behave in their own society

Largest Animal Shelter in U.S. Will House 2 Dogs Trained to Have Sex With Women

OKLAHOMA CITY — The nation's largest animal sanctuary has agreed to accept two dogs that authorities say were trained to have sex with women.
A mixed breed and a Labrador, formerly owned by Diane Sue Whalen of Tulsa County, have been accepted by the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, said Barbara Williamson, spokeswoman for the animal sanctuary.

The dogs — named Lucky and Buddy — will be taken to the no-kill sanctuary next month.
Whalen, 54, and Donald Roy Seigfried, 55, were charged with felony crimes against nature after Whalen's adult son found more than 150 tapes of his mother performing sex acts with her dogs and a blue heeler owned by Seigfried. Seigfried was accused of filming the acts.

The dogs were placed in the Tulsa Animal Shelter following the arrests. While Whalen relinquished custody of her dogs, Seigfried is fighting for ownership of the blue heeler, named Merlin.

Earlier this month, a judge ordered that the dogs be examined by a veterinarian and found suitable for adoption before being placed in homes. Both of Whalen's dogs have been deemed adoptable.

The dogs were neutered at a Tulsa veterinary clinic. Jamee Suarez, president and founder of the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals, said the dogs are healthy and are recovering from their surgeries.

The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is a nonprofit organization that works with the Tulsa County sheriff's office on cases involving animal cruelty.
Volunteers for the organization will drive the dogs more than 1,000 miles to the animal sanctuary in Utah.

Once there, the dogs will become candidates for adoption.
"Each dog (at the sanctuary) is treated as an individual," said Williamson, the sanctuary spokeswoman. "We felt we could help these dogs."

A deputy who investigated the case had recommended that the dogs be euthanized and wrote in court affidavits that they had been trained to rape.
Williamson said euthanizing the dogs would have been "the easy thing to do."
"These dogs are totally victims," she said.

The sanctuary has room for 2,000 animals, mostly dogs and cats. Williamson said there are that many "urgent pleas" every month asking the shelter to take in animals.

Just for fun:

Beastiality is widely practiced among men in the middle east and has been for millenia. In the countries of North Africa, the middle east as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan; men are allowed to engage in acts of beastiality with their female livestock but it is forbidden with male animals.

This excerpt from a 9th century, arabic literary work ("Risalat mufakharat al-sudan 'ala al-bidan") highlights the prevalence and history of beastiality among many arab tribes:

Are you not a member of the Kulayb tribe? Isn't your mother one of those sheep?
Your fat sheep are both your pride and your shame.
Al-Najashi said:
If only one of the tribes of the Quraysh had degraded me other then the goat buggers Sulaym and Ashja.
Al Farazdaq said:
As long as I live I will never be able to bring as sacrifice the milk sheep that belonged to the Araj.
After spending my money I may find the animal gives bird to a boy.
Another poet: If you want more money for your female donkey, just tell the Darimi that you sell it.
He will kiss its back, but for its dryness, would draw near to its buttocks.
The Darimi, when he copulates with the donkey wants his mouth to reach the animals mouth.
Abd ibn Rashid said:
They are bad people, the best of them are still bad.
To the sheep they herd they are the male and the shepherd.
When one of their women is made ready for marriage;
It will be the spotted sheep that weeps sincerely.
What is the Quran's stance on beastiality?

Khomeini Approves of Child Molestation/Beastiality??

I was checking out Aaron's Rantblog ( where he speculates on Arafat having AIDS, which would explain a whole lot of the mystery surrounding his illness. In that post he links to the Dr. Homa Darabi Foundation ( which claims to list a number of the odd writings of Ayatollah Khomeini. Look, I knew the guy was a psycopathic ideologue who was the leader of the most dangerous revolution in the latter half of last century--but I had no freaking idea was also a sick pervert. Aaron sites chapter and verse out of Khomeini's book Tahrirolvasyleh where these sayings come from. Can any one confirm Khomeini actually wrote this? Here is some of the more disgusting stuff:
-A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual act such as forplay, rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed.
-A man can have sex with animals such as sheep, cows, camels and so on. However he should kill the animal after he has his orgasm. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village, however selling the meat to the next door village should be fine.
-If one commits the act of sodomy with a cow, a ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrement become impure, and even their milk may no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed and as quickly as possible and burned.
John of Crossroads of Arabia ( does some work and finds that these quotes might be less than true. Here is what he drops into the comments section:1. All citations eventually work their way back to (, a website run by an Iranian female exile. References to "Vol. 4" are the give-away. There is such a book, but it runs to three volumes only. The reference may/may be factually correct if instead of "Vol. 4", "4th Edition" is meant, but I can't find a 4th edition or reference to a 4th edition online.Let me just add that the first quote is found at the homa website, but I couldn't find that last two. So, the citations on beastiality seems much less plausible than the first quote--which seems incredible on it's own!2. No mainstream media, in any country, has covered this as a news story. Reputable sites dealing with comparative religion or Shi'ism have no references to the original citationsThe only problem here is the age of the quotes. That is, these are old quotes that would be previous to any news stories that Google would have. On the other hand, you'd think that these quotes would cause considerable intra-Islamic dialogue?3. There are numerous blogs that discuss it, but none of them can be seen as either authoritative or lacking a tradition of bashing Islam/Muslims (e.g., Christian fundamentalists, Sunni, Hindus, atheists, anti-pedophile sites, as well as sites like Jihadwatch and Command Post that take a generally dim view of Islam). Interesting. I'd love to hear more.

Sorry. Comments down.....AGAIN!!!!

KABUL (Reuters) - A frustrated Afghan soldier who could not afford to get married has been released without charge after being caught having sex with a donkey, police say.

The soldier, who was not identified, was detained for several days last week after a young boy spotted him with the animal in an abandoned house in the southeastern town of Gardez.

"The man insisted he had no other choice but the donkey because he could not afford to pay a dowry to get married," a local police officer told Reuters.

The man had since been released without charge, he said.

In many parts of Afghanistan (news - web sites) men must pay at least $3,000 (1,650 pounds) to the parents of their prospective bride, making marriage difficult for many in a country where the average annual income is only a few hundred dollars.

Under the strict Islamic rule of the fundamentalist Taliban regime overthrown in 2001, sex outside of marriage or bestiality were punished by stoning to death or flogging.

Strange how I found a bunch of beastiality stories. See how it can be turned around
